What's the story behind Belfry the Bat? 

Many rehearsals for Buckeye Community Theatre take place at the historic and beautiful St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Medina. St. Paul's is home to colorful stained glass windows, a German pipe organ and a wonderful and welcoming congregation that very occasionally includes a fuzzy bat. During one of our rehearsals, Belfry just couldn't contain himself and made his presence by applauding our singing with the clapping of his wings. Don't worry - Belfry only stopped by briefly and was escorted outside to fly over Medina! 

Soon after, Belfry was crowned as our mascot. You can purchase Belfry merchandise to show your Buckeye Community Theatre pride and support our small 501(c)(3) non-profit.
